The second part of the ww2 assignment. I looked up some crazy nazi proposed vehicle ideas and thought i'd give one of the designs my own interpretation. In this case the P-1000 ratte. A tank that would have weighed in at around 1800 tons had it ever been constructed. its turret was basically a battleship turret with only 2 barrels instead of 3.

this thing would actualy be a long range defense plattform at best ... i don't see how it ever could move even a few kilometers over oneven terrain ... let alone get over rivers
you know hitler was one crazy freak thinking out stuff like that ...
the only stuff i like to respect is the developement of the horton 9 stealthplane made by the horton brothers ... (but that's it)
i mean think about it if that thing (and the bomberversion that was in development) was manufactured soon enough it could've changed the outcome of the war ...
fortunately germany was bankrupt at the time so it didn't happen

however nice concept on the tank ...
but this thing would rather be useless ... imo

A pity it would be useless in a fight. Hm... I wonder... am I the only one not seeing any anti infantry on that thing. Seems to me as is the most effective way to fight it would be to board it, so to speak. Blow a hole in the rear and then go in guns blazing.
That whould have been awesome!

yeah, I read something about this thing, it's a pity none were ever made- the engineering involved would be phenomenal

I recreated one of those on minecraft using that work of art X3, except I put anti air guns all around, and put four sets of treads, a command center, a garage under the tank for carrier like tanks, and that's about it.

Ah this beast may have not made it into production but it has a huge legacy. So many fictional vehicles were inspired by it :)
I wouldn't mind seeing a World War II film with a "What if this tank was built" scenario :)
Even if this design did prove to be flawed if it had got off the ground and survived; I imagine people from all over the world would've came to see this thing in a museum. :D
