looks like it could take on any other fighter jet. can our jet planes today beat this guy?

No, not realy. This fighter has effectively six times the Acceleration rate of a F-22 Raptor (7Gs vs 1.2ish), Has an unlimited flight ceiling, the Raptor tops out at around 20,000 meters. It also has 10 tons of armor, the Raptor has zero armor. As for endurance the Poignard can fly for up to 320 minutes and has a ferry range of up to 11,500km on internal fuel alone, which is more than three times the range of the F-22 Raptor with External fuel tanks (~3,000km). And according to the rules the Poignard can perform 20+ G turns which is twice that of a Raptor (which is a bit odd as B-tech dose not have anti-gravity...).

Basically this fighter any every other B-tech fighter, can fly high above any real world fighter and swoop down from a safe altitude take a few pot shots on a target or two and then quickly climb back up to an altitude where it would relatively safe from harm. Not to mention that Most Real world Air to air missiles are configured for targets that do not have armor, so are not going to be very effective on targets that have considerable amounts of it.

In short
Acceleration rate: B-tech (B-tech fighter acceleration rates can range from 2 to 10.5 Gs)
Over all speed: B-tech (B-tech fighters can easily fly at hypersonic velocity's -thats mach 5+ -real world has difficulty getting past Mach 3)
Climb rate: B-tech (B-tech Aerospace fighters can reach orbit...)
Service ceiling: B-tech (As B-tech Aerospace fighters can reach orbit on their own, they do not have a Service ceiling)
Flight Range: B-tech (Their are B-tech fighters that can technically fly all the way around the world twice.)
Agility: B-tech (not only do they have higher acceleration rates their also VSTOL capable)
Armor: B-tech (B-tech Fighters make the A-10 look like wet tissue paper in this department)
Firepower: B-tech Gauss rifles have ~40 times the power of Real life tank guns and lasers typically melt of hundreds of kilograms of armor (To melt a single ton of B-tech armor can take upwards of 3.2 gigajoules of energy).
Weapons Range: Real life -sort of (in space B-tech fighters have engagement ranges of hundreds of KM)
Sensors: possibly Real life (I do not know how real life sensors compare with B-techs, A B-tech fighter dose have at lest in space a radar range of 10,000km with an optical detection range of 2,500km.)
